Finkel', pernambuco stick, silver mounted Johannes  S.  Finkel,  born  in  1947,  is the fourth generation of bowmakers of the Finkel-Weidhaas bowmakers dynasty. He was trained by his father, Siegfried Finkel. His great grandfather was Ewald Weidhaas (b 1869;d 1939). His     grandfather     Paul     Weidhaas, studied   with   Bausch   and   with   V. Fétique in Paris. On his father's retirement he took over the family workshop, and now works together with three more bowmakers, W. Ernst, M. Fischer and J.M. Lüthi, in Schwanden /Brienz, producing fine quality bows.
